Matriculation English Language Immersion Programme 2025: Step Out, Speak Up, Your Voice Matters

The Faculty of Language Studies and Human Development (FBI), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, is proud to host the Matriculation English Language Immersion Programme (MEIP) 2025 from 1–3 August 2025. This dynamic programme brings together students from Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang and Kolej Matrikulasi Kejuruteraan Pahang for three days of interactive language learning, team building, and communication skills development.

Programme Highlights
Held at UMK Bachok and Sri Chap Beach Resort, MEIP 2025 carries the inspiring theme “Step Out, Speak Up: Your Voice Matters.” The programme aims to build participants’ confidence in English communication through hands-on activities, collaborative challenges, and real-world speaking opportunities.

Across the three days, participants will:

• Get to Know Each Other – through group division and ice-breakers during the Voice for Change Organisation Launch.
• Express Ideas Creatively – in the Our Voice, Our Cause Padlet session.
• Engage in Active Learning – with thematic speaking slots: Speak to Connect, Speak to Share, and Speak to Persuade.
• Think, Reflect & Present – in the final Reflection Session and Closing Ceremony.
• Have Fun & Bond as a Team – with outdoor activities like the Treasure Hunt at Sri Chap Beach Resort.

Programme Schedule at a Glance
Day 1 (1 Aug) – Registration, group activities, and opening sessions.
Day 2 (2 Aug) – Treasure Hunt, interactive speaking workshops, and rehearsal for the closing ceremony.
Day 3 (3 Aug) – Reflection session, closing ceremony, and farewell lunch.

A Platform for Voices to Be Heard
MEIP 2025 is more than just an English camp – it’s a platform for students to step out of their comfort zones, speak with confidence, and realise the power of their voices. With the guidance of dedicated facilitators, participants will gain valuable communication skills that will benefit them in academic, professional, and personal settings.

This programme also paves the way for the upcoming International English Language Immersion Programme (IELIP) 2025, which will be held from 14–17 August 2025 in collaboration with Kolej Matrikulasi Kelantan, Yala Rajabhat University, and Saiburi Islamic School.
